Faith In Action

It’s because of Jesus that our lives are changed. Sure, we have responsibility to prepare ourselves, but He is the one that transforms us. In this week’s Sunday Morning Bible Study, Peter reminds us that “precious blood of Christ” redeemed us from our empty way of life.

Have you ever felt empty on the inside? I have and the solution is getting centered in Christ. Peter speaks in terms of getting our minds ready for action and setting our hope on grace. When things look bleak or out of control, we can focus on the One who changes our hearts…and our perspectives.

Insincere love, deceit, envy, and slander are things that creep into our lives and bring us and others down. We can overcome these things by allowing the power of Christ to fill our minds/hearts/actions because we know “the word of the Lord endures forever.”  Want to change your life? Come to Bible Study this Sunday at 10:15 a.m. and join others who are seeking a better, even holy life, in Christ.

Things to Think About and Ponder:
What are 2 or 3 things you can do to focus on Jesus during the day?
Would you describe yourself as a holy person? What would make you holy in your eyes? in your family’s opinion? according to Jesus?
1 Peter 2:3 states that “you have tasted that the Lord is good.” Recall what that was like in your life? How can you share that with someone else?
